The Ultimate Intro Guide to Invisalign

For many of us, metal braces are a teenage right of passage. But what if we never had braces, or what if we decide that we need a teeth-straightening touch-up later in life?

Enter Invisalign - a clear, removable aligner designed to straighten your teeth and align your bite. Invisalign is a nearly-invisible alignment system that straightens teeth without metal. Invisalign is backed by over 900 patents and twenty years of research.

The Invisalign brand is known internationally for its impressive results. At Savannah Dental, the Invisalign program has brought many of our patients complete satisfaction with both the treatment and results.

What kind of bite conditions can Invisalign treat?

We treat many bite conditions on patients of all ages at Savannah Dental with the Invisalign system, including but not limited to:

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign aligners use special technology to calculate the exact amount of force that it will take to move your teeth without causing you discomfort. They steadily push your teeth into better alignment.

What is the first Invisalign treatment like?

When you stop into Savannah Dental to start your Invisalign treatment, you’ll meet with Stephanie Joy Sweeney, DMD. Dr. Sweeney is a Platinum Invisalign provider. This means that Dr. Sweeney is recognized as an Invisalign-trained doctor who has achieved a qualifying level of Invisalign experience.

Dr. Sweeney will begin by taking molds of your teeth. Invisalign will use these molds to create aligners customized specifically for you.

Savannah Dental will give you a call once we receive your aligners so you can come in to pick them up. You’ll move to a new set of aligners every week until your teeth reach target alignment.

The big question: why choose Invisalign?

Dr. Sweeney focuses solely on Invisalign although she’s had advanced training in traditional braces.

Here’s why she recommends Invisalign:

Wondering about the costs of Invisalign?

Many people may be surprised to learn that the cost of Invisalign is comparable to the cost of traditional braces. The U.S. national average, according to the Consumer Guide to Dentistry, ranges from $3,000 to $5,000.

The cost of Invisalign is something we’ll review with you during a consultation.
